REVIEW: All He Ever Needed by Shannon Stacey

All He Ever Needed

4 HEARTS

From Goodreads

He won’t stay put for a woman, and she won’t chase after any man…

Mitch Kowalski lives out of a suitcase—and he likes it that way. Traveling for work has the added bonus of scaring off women who would otherwise try to tie him down. But when he’s called home to help with the family lodge, he’s intrigued by the new girl in town and her insistence that she doesn’t need a man. If there’s one thing Mitch can’t resist, it’s a challenge.

After a nomadic childhood, Paige Sullivan is finally putting down roots. Determined to stand on her own two feet, she lives by the motto “Men are a luxury, not a necessity.” But when Mr. Tall, Dark and Hot pulls up a stool in her diner and offers her six weeks of naughty fun with a built-in expiration date, she’s tempted to indulge.

They’re the perfect match for a no-strings fling. Until they realize their sexy affair has become anything but casual…

I love Shannon Stacy and the Kowalski’s! All He Ever Needed is the 4th book in the Kowalski series and it didn’t disappoint. In this book we get to know another arm of the sexy Kowalski men.

Mitch Kowalski is a wanderer. Lucky for him the demolitions company he owns not only allows for his nomadic ways, but it pays well. He receives a call from the family housekeeper saying he’s needed at the family lodge. With a broken leg and possibly a broken will his brother needs him, but would never ask. Knowing all of this doesn’t prepare him for the disrepair of the lodge and the surly attitude his brother throws at him. All 4 siblings jointly own the lodge, but Josh stayed behind to run things. Apparently, help is needed and Mitch plans on providing that help long enough to get things going in the right direction and then he’s back to his more exciting, less stifling small town life. His interest in the beautiful owner of the local diner is a plus. She can help make his time at home pass a bit quicker and add a lot more spice.

Paige Sullivan has finally planted roots and is living the life she’s always wanted. Being raised by a mom who pulled up stakes, dragging her around the country following man after man seriously colored her life and what she wanted out of it. Small town life suits her just fine. She bought the local diner and the single wide trailer that came with it. She’s making a good go of it, so the last thing she needs is a man to mess things up. Enter Mitch Kowalski the hometown wonder boy. It seems that he’s romanced most of the women in the town and managed to come out beloved instead of looking like slime. Now, he’s showing interest in her and she can not allow her heart to get involved. She knows Mitch has no interest in settling and she will not be like her mom and follow a man as he lives his dream. An agreed upon, short term fling is the perfect idea. That way no one gets hurt, right?

"Men are a luxury, not a necessity.”

I can not say it enough this is a sweet, easy going series. It just leaves you with a smile.

“But you want a man, right?” She pretended to think about it for a few seconds. “Not especially.” “Who opens jars for you?” “I have a little gadget that does that.” “But…” He grinned. “What about sex?” “I have a little gadget that does that, too.”
